First Run

I decided to #trainwithcliff

On the weekend I went for run. I haven’t gone for a run in years. I’m not sure why I’ve let myself get out of shape over the last 6 years. I went from 0 to 3 kids in the last five year so maybe that has something to do with it.

Recently I’ve been having hot showers every morning and then turning the heat off and staying under the cold water for 30 seconds or so. This gives me a boost of adrenaline and puts me in a good mood starting the day with a good kick.

I’ve been following  Cliff Ravenscraft on Snapchat and the other day he went for a 100 mile bike ride. 100 miles! Watching this Snapchat story motivated me to get off my butt and go for a run.

I ran around the park 3 times and thought that was enough. But then my son wanted to go with me so I did another lap. So I ended up doing 4 laps of the park which is great. I thought I was only going to do one or two before I had to stop due to back pain or being winded. But I probably could have done a couple more laps with no problem. My legs were sore for the next couple of days though but it was a good sore. It felt great actually.

 

 

 

 

 

Now I’m looking forward to my next run.
